Bahrain's Cabinet lauded strong and growing relations and cooperation with Kuwait, hailing the outcome of its Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa's recent visit to Kuwait.
The importance of Sunday's one-day visit to Kuwait in promoting necessary GCC cooperation in the wake of current regional circumstances was underlined in a Cabinet statement.
At the session, the Bahraini prime minister briefed his Cabinet on discussions held with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, amongst other senior officials.
These also included His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
For his part, Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, during a meeting with the premier, reiterated the importance of the latter's visit to Kuwait, particularly on the fight against terrorism.
He said it was crucial for states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (of which Kuwait and Bahrain are both members) to work together on the matter, adding that the situation in the surrounding region requires "vigilance and caution ... through working together not alone."
