
Bahrain and the State of Palestine today signed a cooperation agreement in the agricultural and municipal fields.The agreement, the first of its kind to be signed between a Palestinian government department and another Arab one, was signed by the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Dr. Juma'a bin Ahmed Al Ka'abi and the Palestinian Minister of Local Government Dr. Saed Al-Kuni.Under the agreement, the two sides will exchange expertise and experiences in the municipal and agricultural fields.Dr. Al-Ka'bi affirmed that the move will open up new horizons of cooperation with the brotherly Palestinian people and help achieve the Palestinians' aspirations in this regard, praising the deep-rooted bilateral relations.He conveyed greetings and wishes of success from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, to the members of the Palestinian delegation.The Palestinian Minister of Local Government Dr. Saed Al-Kuni praised HM the King's supportive stances towards the Palestinians."HM King Hamad always supports the Palestinian people's inalienable right to set up its independent state," he said, citing HM's call, as he opened the fourth session of the third legislative term, to the International Community to work out a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.He added the Palestinian cause enjoys unanimous support of the Bahraini people, praising the Bahraini delegations' visits to the Palestinian territories and the cooperation of the Bahraini ministries and state departments with the Palestinian Embassy here.
