The Representatives Council Bureau will hold parliamentary events for youth, and organise visits to popular Majlises and public and private institutions, as part of its strategy to consolidate social contacts, activate popular partnership and extend bridges of communication with the public and all social segments, Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla.
He explained that the events aim to consolidate social contacts between the Representatives Council and the citizens and residents and highlight the legislative branch's efforts and achievements, under the reform and democratic process spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He added that the visits will provide an opportunity to be informed closely about the citizens' opinions, remarks and suggestions, promote parliamentary culture and awareness and develop relations with the community.
In this regard, he said the Council's Bureau, which convened here today, approved the proposal of the Standing Quality Committee on Youth and Sports to hold a forum on sports clubs, and another for youth associations and centres.
