A Parliamentary delegation led by MP Sawsan Hajji Taqawi and Shura Council member Hala Ramzi Qurisa will take part in a workshop for young ladies in Egypt. The Arab Parliament is organising the event on Tuesday and Wednesday at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
The workshop is part of preparations for a major conference which will be convened to discuss key issues of concern to Arab women in light of present challenges. Delegates will attend the conference to draw up a joint document endorsing women's rights in the Arab World.
The delegation will underscore Bahrain's efforts to empower women to be able to hold key positions and accede to decision-making positions. The delegation is also expected to shed light on the status of minorities which make up an integral part of Bahraini society under the reforms led by His Majesty the King.
