
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has directed the Shura and Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanem bin Fahl Al-Buainain to make the all preparations, take the necessary procedures and cooperate fully with the legislative branch in order to enable it to assume its duties regarding the government's action plan (GAP).
He urged full coordination with the members of Parliament Committee tasked with reviewing GAP, and meet them to explain GAP's core priorities, goals, initiatives and programmes.
HRH Premier asserted that cooperation between the executive and the legislative branches have contributed to consolidating national achievements over the past years, stressing that the government has adopted that cooperation as a constant approach out of its belief that the two branches share the same goal of serving national interests.
Al-Buainain said that he had started implementing HRH Premier's directives reflecting his keen interest to enhance parliamentary work in kingdom.
He explained that HRH Premier had issued his directives following the parliamentary committee's request to meet the government's representatives in a bid to get some GAP issued clarified, adding that a joint meeting will be held on Tuesday.
He stressed that HRH Premier's keenness to respond to the parliament and implement the government's blueprint and programmes in the allocated time affirms his interest to avoid any delays that may have a negative impact on the citizens' living conditions.
He said that once the state budget is approved and the projects are implemented, the nation and the citizens will benefit.
He added that the previous GAP and the current one were prepared in accordance with the National Economic Strategy launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in coordination with the Economic Development Board.
