
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that national interests have to be the common goal of all, and that belonging to parliamentary blocks should be based on loyalty to the all-inclusive umbrella –Bahrain.
He affirmed clear instructions had been given to ministers and officials to keep their doors open to the representatives of the people, and respond swiftly and effectively to all what is raised under the dome of the Parliament.
He stressed that the government welcomes parliamentary supervision of its work, according to the constitutional tools in place, and will even go beyond them and support the legislative and monitoring roles of the Representatives Council.
He voiced the stances as he received here today a number of Royal Family members and senior state officials, in the presence of MPs Osama Al-Khaja and Fatima Al-Asfoor.
HRH Premier affirmed that many government programmes aiming to upgrade citizen-oriented services will be implemented soon and will be followed-up and evaluated periodically to ensure they achieve the expected goals.
He highlighted his constant keenness to meet the citizens, be informed about their needs and exchange with them views on programmes aiming to benefit them, stressing that the success indicator of any programme is the citizens' satisfaction
MPs Osama Al-Khaja and Fatima Al-Asfoor expressed sincere appreciation of HRH Premier's approach in interacting with the citizens, and field visits to projects in order to get assured about their progress.
They affirmed that HRH the Prime Minister has provided a "unique" example in leadership through making the citizens partners in government projects, stressing that the new Council of Representatives will support his policies in this regard and consolidate its cooperation with the government in order to carry on the nation's renaissance and progress.
