
Chairperson of Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security at the House of Representatives, Sawsan Taqawi, said that the committee submitted 49 reports to the House of Representatives on a variety of topics, which the House of Representatives had taken the appropriate decisions on them.
This came as Taqawi was reviewing the committee's achievements during the fourth session of the third legislative term of the House of Representatives.
Taqawi said 27 regular meetings had been held to discuss topics referred by the Council of Representatives to the committee. A regular meeting was also held with Minister of Interior on Bahrain security situation, in the presence of all Council of Representatives' members.
She added that three more different meetings were also held, the first meeting was with Deputy Prime Minister on the implementation of the recommendations issued by the National Assembly, the second was with Bahraini-Turkish Friendship Committee, and the third with Human Rights Minister about Bahrain's participations in Human Rights Council's meetings held in September 2013.
She extended gratitude to all members of the Committee and House of Representatives' Secretariat for their efforts exerted during the fourth session of the third legislative term in the interest of the nation.
