Bahrainis' interest in the electoral process hailed

Bahrainis’ daily visits to the headquarters of parliamentary and municipal candidates reflect their high interest in the electoral process and keenness on being informed about the electoral programmes in order to be able to choose the best ones who can represent them, experts, journalists and media persons said.
In statements to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), they said that hundreds of Bahrainis visit the headquarters of candidates on a daily basis to discuss with them their programmes so as to be able to make the right decisions ahead of next Saturday’s elections.
Experts, journalists and media persons said that most candidates focused on service issues, especially housing, in order to attract more voters in their constituencies.
Others pledged to improve the living standards through increasing salaries and pensions, and providing more facilities and incentives for families and female employees in the public sector.
Regarding female candidates, they pledged to prioritise the issuance of the second part of the Family Provisions Law if they were elected.
They praised the success of the electoral process in the kingdom, noting that it is one of the main fruits of the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
