Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals’ Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Waleed Al-Mana’a, has revealed that the health care system in Bahrain is among the best in the region and at the international level, as indicated in its ever-progressing indicators, which, he said, resulted in the average life expectancy reaching 78.

The milestone achievements of the health sector, and the high-quality health services enjoyed by the citizens and residents are the fruitful outcome of the sound visions and directives of the kingdom’s leadership, he said.

Al-Mana’a was speaking on the sidelines of his participation in the “This Is Bahrain” event, held here on September 12-15, to highlight Bahrain’s landmark achievements in various development fields, including health.

He voiced pride in attending the ceremony to launch the “Co-existence and Tolerance” Agreement, initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the presence of HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Board Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Orgnised by “This Is Bahrain” Society in Los Angeles, California, USA, the event featured an exhibition and a press conference to launch the “Bahrain Declaration” Document, and the inaugurate the King Hamad Global Centre for Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-Existence which includes a museum that showcases historical and modern documents bespeaking religious freedom and peaceful coexistence in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During his participation, the assistant undersecretary highlighted Bahrain’s landmark achievements over the past years and the success stories and the success stories of which everyone is proud, noting that the indicators for the under-five children, as well as for prenatal and postpartum healthcare for women have significantly improved.

He affirmed that Bahrain’s health care services are delivered according to the best international standards, using the latest technology, which, he said, led to an increase in the average life expectancy to 78.

The undersecretary extended sincere congratulations to HM King Hamad on the launch of the “Bahrain Declaration Document” and the Inauguration of the King Hamad Global Centre for Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence, noting that the event reflects HM the King’s role as an Arab leaders who calls for tolerance and peaceful co-existence in order to build a brighter future.

He also voiced pride in Shaikh Nasser’s participation in the ceremony aimed at consolidating religious freedom and peaceful co-existence at the international level.
