
Eligible Bahraini voters today cast their ballots in 36 constituency polling stations and 13 general polling centres all over the Kingdom to elect their parliamentary and municipal representatives.
The second round is held today following the results of first round conducted last Saturday in which 153,000 of the total electorate participated in the parliamentary elections with a turnout of 52.6% and in the municipal councils with a turnout of 59.1%. In the second round today, 110 contenders compete for 34 parliamentary seats and 21 municipal seats.
The 1,667 registered Bahraini voters abroad - compared with 1195 voters abroad in 2010 - cast their ballots on Tuesday in Bahrain's embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions in 29 cities around the world.
