
Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir hailed on Saturday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s efforts to restore Egypt’s leading role in Africa.
This came in an interview with Al Hayat TV Channel and Youm7 Newspaper, media adviser at Sudanese Embassy in Cairo Mohamed Gobara told MENA on Saturday.
This interview comes within boosting Egyptian-Sudanese media ties especially after Bashir’s recent meeting with Sisi in Cairo.
During the interview, Bashir tackled Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, asserting that Sudan will not allow any harm to Egyptian water rights and interests.
He also pointed out at security cooperation and coordination at the Egyptian-Sudanese borders that aims to combat terrorism and face Daesh terrorist threat.
Meanwhile, he asserted that Sudan and Egypt agree that the peace solution is the best for both the Libyan and the Syrian crises.
He also described the upcoming Arab Summit due to be held in Sharm el Sheikh as “very important”, hoping that it will have positive outcome.
