
British Minister Lord Tariq Ahmad, who has dual responsibility for aviation security in the Department for Transport and for countering extremism in the British Home Office, inspected security measures at Cairo International Airport on Wednesday.
The British minister and his accompanying delegation inspected arrival and transit halls at the airport along with the security measures adopted with passengers, goods and planes.
During his visit to Egypt, the British minister also met with a host of Egyptian officials to discuss ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in the transportation sector.
He also discussed progress on aviation security in Egypt's airports in preparation of resuming British flights to Red Sea resorts.
