The cabinet Tuesday praised the vigilance of policemen that greatly contributed to foiling a terrorist attack at the Karnak Temple in Luxor last week.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said a group comprising the ministers of tourism, antiquities, culture and civil aviation has been formed to outline a plan to activate tourism in Luxor.
The social solidarity minister and the secretary general of the Social Fund for Development have also been assigned to study ways to support a number of small and medium-sized enterprises of workers at the tourism sector in Luxor to help them overcome consequences of the declined flow of tourism over the past years, Mahlab said.
