The Chairman of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Authority and Executive Director of 2014 Parliamentary and Municipal Elections Commission Abdullah Hassan Al-Buainain said that the Court of Cassation today will consider one objection today and three other objections tomorrow regarding the elections, pointing out that 11 objections were raised during the elections.
Al-Buainain told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that "11 objections, including 9 objections for parliamentary elections and 2 objections for municipal elections had been received. The Court of Cassation issued its verdicts on 7 of these objections," he added.
He estimated that the total number of citizens who reported at polling stations but were not allowed to cast their votes because their names had not been included in the electoral lists was more than 2000 persons, adding that they should take care not to commit the same mistake again in future elections. He invited them to correct any errors, if any, in their personal data immediately before next elections.
