
Cautious calm prevailed in Tripoli, in North Lebanon, on Monday after a heavy night of clashes where rocket-propelled grenades were used, according to Lebanese News Agency (NNA). Nine individuals were killed and 71 were wounded overnight. Traffic in Tripoli is not back to its normal pace, and most of the shops, schools and universities did not open their doors as usual. Furthermore, the tally of the 18th round of fierce clashes that have been taken place in Tripoli since last Saturday till today stood at 10 people killed and 92 wounded. The agency reported that three people fell victims of the continuing snipers shots today, adding that these operations were ongoing on the international highway in Tripoli.
