
The Civil Defence managed to put out a fire which broke at a shopping mall at Al-Salmiya. The blaze which engulfed a shopping mall under construction left material damage, but no human losses.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Civil Defence Deputy Director-General for Firefighting and Human Resources Brigadier Khalid Al-Makrad said that 82 people had been evacuated from hotel located at the mall, which includes also shopping outlets and a cinema.
He pointed out that firemen had succeeded in putting out the blaze before it could spread to engulf other parts of the pall, adding that an inquiry had been launched.
