United Nations Special Envoy to Libya Bernardino Leon and representatives of the Libyan General National Congress resumed on Friday consultations in Algiers over boosting political dialogue in Libya.
On Thursday, the consultations started in the presence of Minister Delegate for Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahe.
Libya has two rival governments and parliaments, those recognized by the international community sitting in the far east of the country, while the others reside in the capital Tripoli.
Vying for legislative authority are a Tobruk-based parliament and an Islamist-led parliament, the latter of which – even though its mandate ended last year – continues to convene in Tripoli.
