Member of the House of Representatives Mohamed Abu Hamed apologized to MP Khaled Yousef over the statements he made over the government platform.
House speaker Ali Abdel Aal greeted the two MPs over the understanding reached between them to calm down the situation inside the parliament and also praised their role in the January 25 and the June 30 revolutions.
Abdel Aal had adjourned the parliament's morning session for five minutes only 10 minutes after due to an altercation between the lawmakers.
Youssef said, commenting on the platform, "a revolution erupted in January 25, its largest wave was in June 30 and a constitution was sanctioned in 2014 and I swear to God that this platform has nothing to do with the revolution or the constitution or even the slogans of the revolution."
"The platform has nothing do do with the suffering of the farmers, the youths, women or people of special needs," he said, describing it as a program of "missing vision, confused priorities and sick dreams".
Abu Hamed announced his approval of the platform and gave the government a vote of confidence, saying it goes in line with Egypt vision 2030. "The program is the beginning of implementing this vision," he said.
"It is easy that someone claims he speaks in the name of the revolution and the constitution and claims that it does not represent the constitution but fails to present an alternative," he said.
"It is ridiculous to make the government shoulder the responsibility of problems that have been there over the past 30 years. It is easy to criticize but it is so hard to come up with an alternative," he added.
Youssef objected and a number of members joined him causing a fuss during the session as some of them left their seats.
The speaker had to adjourn the session for fear of further developments.
