Dar Al Ifta House's Fatwa Observatory refuted Monday a terrorist Daesh claim that a battle will take place in Dabeq, Syria, between Daesh fighters and the Western forces.
This is a failed attempt to dress their battles in religious attire, said the Observatory.
Promotion of such a battle is based on a weak saying claimed to be said by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), said the Observatory, adding that this is the habitual practice of all terrorist movements across history.
A video purportedly released by the terrorist group entitled "See You in Dabeq" depicts Daesh militants fighting "non-believers" in Rome.
The Observatory thus backtracks on earlier claims of Dabeq as the battle they claim will take place at the end of time, by the battle of Rome after the several defeats it had in Syria.
Daesh thus is moving between different narrations and religious scripts in accordance with its own conditions on the ground, said the Observatory.
