The death toll among Egyptian pilgrims rose to four after two more pilgrims died on Saturday in Mecca, head of the Egyptian Hajj mission Sayed Maher said.
Mohamed Yaqoot, 48, from Gharbiya, and Nadia Abdulhamid, 67, from Beni Suef passed away on Saturday, Maher said.
They were buried in Mecca after taking the permission of their relatives, he added.
Maher noted that the airlift carrying Egyptian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is still going on.
On Friday, the Egyptian Health Ministry announced the first death cases among Egyptian pilgrims. A 72-year-old man from Cairo named Samir Shaaban and Bekhita Nassar, 67, from Suez died due to a sharp drop in blood pressure, the ministry said.
