
Qatar started decorating streets across the country with national flags of the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in preparation for their summit due here on December 9-10.
The entrances of hotels and conferences halls in which the summit will be held were adorned with photos of their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC countries and signs of welcome were posted at main places and Qatar International Airport.
An advanced media center was prepared to be at the disposal of local, Arab Gulf, Arab and International media representatives who are taking part in the coverage of the event.
The center was equipped with the state-of-the-art telephone, fax, and internet transmit devices.
Officials are keen on following up details regarding preparations including main tables, seats designed for VIPs and other guests and all requirements that should be prepared at such regional forums.
All halls where the summit will be held are being prepared well and officials put finishing touches for the event.
