He said in a statement on this occasion, "The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is one from few leaders concerning about their nations, and are keen on peace and prosperity in the world on various strata and sects without distinction."
Dr. Al-Salem added, "The terrorism which affects the world, spreads widely, and its harms and consequences escalate, can not be eliminated through individual efforts or temporary solutions, so the King holds responsible all international and social spectra of states, scholars, and intellectuals and paterfamilias in confronting this disease. The King even stressed that the laziness of Muslim scholars in clarification of the fact of the Islamic religion and its tolerance, moderation and keenness on protecting the blood, honor and money will not only be harmful to the reputation of Islam and Muslims, but it will be a major cause of the spread of chaos, extremism and hatred, and the price will be paid by innocents whether Muslims or others. "
He noted that the call for combating terrorism was issued from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who governs a leading state which has international weight, indicating that the Kingdom has been one of the first countries to suffer from terrorism and terrorist acts from a deviating group that misunderstood Islam.
Dr. Al-Salem affirmed that any sane person, researcher for the truth and peace-seeker will not hesitate to respond to this sincere call and work on its contents and this is hoped from the decision makers and the Elders of the world.
