
The Dubai Charity Association has distributed Ramadan Ration to 15,000 families inside the country at a total cost of AED2 millions.
The gesture comes in the light of the Association's Ramadan campaign to distribute Ramadan ration to the underprivileged families under the slogan ' Ramadan al Khair.
Ahmed Mesmar, General-Secretary of the Dubai Charity Association, said that the Association has launched its campaign before the Holy Month of Ramadan to communicate with philanthropists and donors to provide their Zakat to support the needy families, and the society's charitable and humanitarian programmes inside the country and abroad.
He also added that the Association will dispatch Zakat al-Fitr in cash for beneficiaries before Eid-al Fitr, which includes clothing.
