The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), said the Jordanian-UAE ties are of special significance in the Arab world and the region, as well as the various global issues that constitute a huge challenge for the entire world.
The ECSSR devoted its Tuesday's publication to underline the importance of His Majesty King Abdullah's meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The center said the meeting reflected the deep-rooted UAE-Jordanian relations which have always been a model for Arab countries.
The research institution explained that the meeting came as the Arab region faces enormous challenges and suffers unprecedented instability as violence is deepening in main Arab states and the danger of terrorism organizations is growing.
The importance of this meeting stems from that both countries are on the same page regarding these problems and other regional and global issues, in addition to their keenness to restore security and stability to the unrest-weary region.
Furthermore, the bulletin stated that the two countries are of great importance with regard to the fight against extremism and terrorism, as both countries see-eye-to-eye on these destructive phenomena; therefore the UAE and Jordan are engaged directly in combat operations at different levels.
It also showed that both Amman and Abu Dhabi have gained extensive experience which should entitle them to assume a leading role in the eradication of extremism and terrorism.
Both countries, it added have zero-tolerance towards activities that would feed extremism.
