Egypt re-affirmed its tight security bonds with the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) countries, stressing that Cairo views "the Gulf security as a red line." The Egyptian Foreign Ministry added in a statement issued on Sunday that the country is following up with great interest and intensive concern the dangerous developments the Arab nations are witnessing lately.
Such challenges and threats affect the national security of the Arab countries, the official statement said, alluding to unstable political and conditions in some regional countries that also suffer from terrorism.
Out of Egypt's historic responsibility towards the Arab nations, and of its apprehension of the seriousness of the unprecedented challenges that threaten the Arab national security, especially the Gulf security, Egypt announced its commitment of continuing cooperation and coordination with Arab countries to face all threats, the statement said.
