
Egypt and Algeria underlined the need of completing the UN path to settle the Western Sahara issue according to the resolutions of the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council, according to a statement issued by the Algerian Foreign Affairs Ministry on Wednesday.
Algerian Foreign Minister Ramatan Lamamra held yesterday a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry as part of joint consultations and their keenness to support the joint Arab action, added the statement.
The two ministers discussed a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially the Libyan file, according to the statement.
They also exchanged viewpoints regarding the most important issues in the African arena, said the statement.
