
Egypt's interior minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar on Wednesday met here with his Bahraini counterpart Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
Meeting ahead of the opening session of the Arab Interior Ministers meeting in the Algerian capital, the two ministers discussed ways to promote joint security cooperation between Cairo and Manama.
The Bahraini minister stressed his country's support for Egypt in its war against terrorism, hailing as "great" the role exerted by the Egyptian police to restore stability and security in the leading Arab country.
Abdel Ghaffar, for his part, stressed the Egyptian people's appreciation for Bahrain's supportive stances.
He pointed out that the peoples and leaders of Egypt and Bahrain share the same views and stances on different issues.
