Egypt's consul in London Alaa Youssef offered legal assistance to the family of the Egyptian citizen killed in London, as part of following up of a probe into the case.
The Egyptian consulate has also contacted prosecution authorities to get acquainted with the measures to be taken.
The case has yet to be referred to the prosecution body, said a spokesman for the Egyptian foreign ministry.
Police are still investigating the murder of the man identified as Sherif Habib Michael, added Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Earlier today, the foreign ministry contacted the British Embassy in Cairo to assert the importance of issuing visa for any member of the deceased's family to travel to Britain to follow up the case.
The embassy immediately accepted applications forms of a number of his family members today, said the spokesman.
