Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting Wednesday with ambassadors of Arab Group, which comprises nearly two dozen Arab countries that are members of the UN.
During the meeting, Shoukry reviewed a number of points that should be included in the draft resolution, which is scheduled to be submitted, under the name of the Arab Group, to the UN Security Council in its emergency session today.
The Arab Group adopted the draft resolution, with the points suggested by Egypt, including a call to lift a ban on providing arms to the legitimate government in order to enable it to undertake its missions in confronting terrorism, said Egypt's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati.
