Egypt opened on Monday the Egypt-Gaza Strip Rafah terminal for the third day in row in both directions for stranded and humanitarian cases and pass humanitarian aid into the Palestinian enclave.
The Egyptian authorities decided to open the terminal for three days, starting Saturday.
A total of 1,991 persons had crossed the terminal in the three days and 85 aid trucks loaded with construction materials were allowed into the strip.
Egypt had closed the terminal in the aftermath of a terror attack in North Sinai on October 24 that left several army men killed and injured.
It now reopens the terminal occasionally to allow stranded Palestinians home return
