
A visiting German parliamentary delegation held talks on Wednesday with Secretary General of the Egyptian House of Representatives Counselor Ahmed Saad Eddin on means of promoting legislative cooperation between both sides.
In a released statement, the House general secretariat said that the German delegates expressed confidence that the formation of a new parliament in Egypt will contribute to cementing the pillars of democracy in the country.
They further asserted that Egypt is a major factor for stability in the region, added the statement.
For his part, Saad Eddin underlined that Egypt seeks capitalizing on the time-honored German parliamentary experience through boosting joint cooperation on this score.
