
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shokry met on Saturday with Syrian opposition factions which participated in the conference organized by the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) in Cairo from January 22 till 24.
The conference aimed at reaching a unified joint vision to the Syrian opposition groups so as to solve the political and security crisis in the Arab country.
At the beginning of the get-together, Shoukry underlined that Egypt is keen on reaching a political solution to the Syrian crisis to stop the bloodshed in Syria and fulfill the aspirations of its people in establishing a democratic regime, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Atti.
The Syrian opposition factions underscored that Egypt's role in solving the crisis is very important, Abdel Atti reiterated
