
Egypt is keen on fostering cooperation with Cyprus and Greece in various areas, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Hatem Seif El Nasr said on Tuesday.
He made the remarks during the high-profile tripartite talks held in Nicosia.
Holding such tripartite talks is a strong evidence of the three countries' keenness to push forward cooperation and coordinate stances on different regional and international issues of common concern, he asserted.
The Egyptian diplomat hailed the positive and supportive stances adopted by Cyprus and Greece towards Egypt.
Hatem has held political consultations with senior Cypriot officials on fostering bilateral ties in different areas.
Also, he met with director general of political affairs with Greek foreign ministry and other officials within the framework of the ongoing dialogue between Cairo and Athens at all levels.
During the meeting, he said that his country looks forward to developing bilateral cooperation in the economic and trade fields.
