
The Egyptian Fish Wealth Authority and its Libyan counterpart are coordinating measures to release 21 Egyptian fishermen held in Libya, the chairman of the fishermen syndicate in Kafr el Sheikh said Wednesday.
Ahmed Abdou Nassar has said that Khaled el Hosni, the chairman of the Egyptian Fish Wealth Authority, received a phone call from Libya's Ibrahim al Bash in which he informed him that the fishermen are held by the coastguard.
They are in a safe place in Misrata away from armed groups, Bash assured Hosni.
