
Egypt will not back off from fighting terrorism and eradicating its extremist ideology, Egypt's Ambassador here Nasser Kamel said.
Speaking to "Sky News" TV over the recent terror incidents in Egypt, including the assassination of top prosecutor Hesham Barakat, the Egyptian envoy said Egypt has been fighting terrorism like other countries and that Britain itself had suffered from the horrific terror attack in Tunisia.
He stressed the importance of international community cooperation to defeat extremist thought.
As for President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's upcoming visit of Britain, Kamel said he will hold talks with Prime Minister David Cameron on regional developments, international cooperation and bilateral relations.
