
Egypt ranked the 108th, up from 110 in 2014, in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) report of 2015.
The UN report sorts world countries in terms of the level of human development.
Egypt managed to maintain its place among countries that enjoy medium level of human development, surpassing Indonesia, South Africa, Morocco and India.
In a statement, Ambassador Amr Ramadan, Egypt's Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, said the UNDP has organized a seminar on the report entitled "Work for Human Development".
The event, attended by Director of UNDP Helen Clark and the UN permanent representatives in Geneva, touched on voluntary and creative activities and their impact on increasing rates of human development, he added.
