Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Moghazi has been satisfied with the results of the second session of talks held by Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia on the Renaissance Dam.
In statements on Monday, the minister said talks would not cease until the three parties reach a satisfactory agreement by the mid-2015 deadline set according to an announced trilateral roadmap.
"The issue of the Nile water is not an easy one," he said, adding that it is a life or death issue.
He called on the media to support the Egyptian negotiators through double-checking the information they receive about the progress of talks.
"We understand the needs of the countries of the Nile Basin for electric power," the minister said, adding that Egypt is willing to achieve a real close partnership with all riparian states to serve common development goals.
