Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Monday that Egypt and Saudi Arabia represented the cornerstone of Arab action.
In reply to a question by MENA, Shoukry reaffirmed the strength of deeply-rooted relations between the two countries both at the governmental and popular levels.
The remarks by Shoukry came at his joint news conference with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir at the Saudi Foreign Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Saudi coordination council meetings.
Shoukry described as strategic the Egyptian-Saudi relations within the context of continued joint efforts to preserve the Arab national security.
For his part, Al Jubeir thanked Shoukry on his statements regarding bilateral relations which, he said, reflected the targets of the leaderships of both countries, voicing hope meetings and exchange of visits would continue.
