The Egyptian diplomatic mission in Damascus handed over on Tuesday a convoy of humanitarian aid to the Syrian Red Crescent.
Mohamed Tharwat, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Egyptian mission in Damascus, said the aid supplies will be sent to the besieged areas in el Zabadani, Kafriya and Madaya districts.
The aid supplies include 500 tons of flour and 1,500 boxes of tinned food, he added.
Tharwat noted that coordination is underway with the Syrian Red Crescent to deliver such aid relief to residents before the holy month of Ramadan.
