Egypt spared no efforts for combating trafficking in people and illegal immigration to save lives whether Egyptians or Africans, chairperson of the national coordinating committee for combating and preventing trafficking in persons ambassador Naela Gabr said Sunday.
Gabr said the efforts of the security apparatuses in this regard commendable.
Commenting on the capsizing of a boat with more than 400 illegal migrants from Libya to Europe recently, Gabr said they felt sorry for death of those innocents, who were exploited by inhumane traffickers.
She expected an increase in such incidents due to lack in shared information on the international trafficking gangs.
