
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Saturday with his Sudanese counterpart Ibrahim Ghandour who is visiting Egypt for talks.
The talks reflected the historical relations between the two countries and were characterized by transparency and desire to boost bilateral ties in all fields, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The two sides also tackled preparations for a higher joint committee meeting in the first quarter of 2016.
They also took up a number of regional issues including the Syrian, Libyan and Yemeni crises.
The talks also tackled the Egyptian-Sudanese cooperation on the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
