Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Sudanese counterpart Ibrahim al Ghandour will co-chair the ministerial meetings of the joint Egyptian-Sudanese committee in Cairo on Tuesday.
The meetings will be held at the level of the two heads of state on Wednesday.
The committee convened on Sunday and Monday at the level of senior officials.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said the committee meetings will see the signing of a number of bilateral agreements to promote the existing cooperation.
The meetings will also discuss cooperation in the sectors of defense, security, trade, industry, education, health, transport, agriculture, irrigation and water resources, the spokesman said.
The meetings coincide with Egypt's celebrations of the 6th of October War victory and reflect keenness of the two countries to maintain and beef up the joint interests of the peoples of the two Nile countries.
The meetings also coincide with the test run of Arqin border crossing that started on September 29. The crossing is expected to help increase the volume of trade exchange and is a good step to resume Cairo-Cape Town road project linking African countries.
