Egypt to reopen Rafah crossing with Gaza on Sun, Monday

Egypt will re-open Rafah crossing with the besieged Gaza Strip on Sunday and Monday in both directions to allow the passage of stranded Palestinians, a senior Egyptian official and the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo announced Saturday.
Egypt's state news agency quoted an unnamed senior official source as saying that the move is meant to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian people.
The Palestinian Embassy also issued a statement confirming the decision and thanking Egyptian officials for responding positively to the Palestinian demand to reopen the border crossing.
