Assistant Foreign Minister for consular affairs and Egyptians abroad Amr Mawad said Sunday that Saudi Arabia is carrying out an awareness campaign via the different media means and social media under the rubric "be disciplinary".
This comes after the increase of the number of those who violate work and residency systems including suspended Egyptians, Mawad said.
In a press statement, Mawad said Egyptian consulates in Riyadh and Jeddah delegate envoys to follow up the situation of the suspended Egyptians and ease the measures of deporting them home.
Those who violate residency and work systems can face imprisonment or financial fine along with confiscating vehicles used in transporting the violators, Mawad said.
Mawad called on the Egyptians in Saudi Arabia whether visitors or pilgrims to abide by the rules and regulations related to Saudi Arabia entry visas.
