Egypt welcomed the signing of a peace deal in Addis Ababa between South Sudan government and opposition on Wednesday.
A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday urged all south Sudanese parties and sponsors of the agreement to deal carefully and with interest with the reservations raised by some quarters on the deal items.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid stressed the importance of the political will of the signatories to achieve peace and stability.
South Sudan President Salva Kiir signed the deal Wednesday to end 20 months of war in the world's youngest nation, but added a list of reservations that raised doubts about whether peace would take hold.
