On the second anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood staged Tuesday three "limited" marches that were dispersed by police, the Cabinet's central operations room said.
The marches were staged in Matariya, a district of Cairo and Kafr el Dawwar and Damanhur in the Delta city of Behaira, the operations room said in a statement.
The statement also pointed to a number of terrorist acts that included fire shooting at troops securing the Helwan Wax Museum. Gunmen opened fire at the troops, killing a policeman and injuring two others, it said.
Two terrorists were also killed inside a car near the 6th of October Police Station when a bomb they possessed went off, the statement said, adding that the blast also killed a passerby.
An explosive charge was also detonated in el Maasara district of Cairo, the operations room said. The bomb was held by a person when it blew up, leaving him with an amputated right hand, the statement explained.
A bomb also exploded near Samasta Police Station in the Upper Egyptian city of Beni Sweif, but no human casualties were reported, according to the operations room.
A stun grenade also went off in el Zeraayin Square in Beni Sweif with no human casualties reported, the statement added.
The operations room said that two persons riding a motorcycle opened fire at Faisal Police Station in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, adding that no casualties were reported.
The room denied rumors about the destruction of a number of high-voltage power towers in Giza, stressing that was an old news that dated back to June 15.
