
Egypt's Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi held a meeting with Libya's Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thini to discuss ways to promote cooperation.
The meeting tackled the latest developments in the region and means of enhancing cooperation.
The meeting also touched upon exchanging expertise between the armed forces of both countries in various fields, mainly in combating terrorism and securing the jointbborder.
During the meeting, Sobhi hailed as deeply-rooted relations binding between the two countries.
Egypt's armed forces are keen on supporting the Libyan army, Sobhi said.
For his part, Thini congratulated the Egyptian people and its army on the 41th anniversary of the October 6 war.
The meeting was attended by Egypt's Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy and a raft of commanders of the armed forces.
