The Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman vehemently condemned Tuesday a recent Human Rights Watch (HRW) report on alleged abuses under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati described the report as "politicized and lacking the simplest rules of accuracy and objectiveness."
He added that the HRW has no credibility for the Egyptian people and several world countries because "it has purported lies and erroneous and baseless information."
The organization has issued several unobjective reports on Egypt since the June 30 revolution, the spokesman said.
"Whenever Egypt realizes progress at the political, economic and social levels, the organization propagates lies and politicizes data and reports targeting the country's stability," the spokesman said.
He added that "the organization launches a tailored campaign against Egypt," noting that that the organization has an anti-Egypt agenda.
The spokesman said the organization claims that it defends and respects human rights, but it backs terror operations and perpetrators of violent attacks, citing the HRW silence over terror operations targeting innocent civilians and policemen.
