
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a number of meetings on the sidelines of the 26th round of the Arab Summit in Sharm el Sheikh, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aaty said on Sunday.
Shoukry met with Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Al Dairi to discuss the latest developments in Libya as well as the Libyan legitimate government's efforts to restore security in the country.
They also agreed on the importance of a unanimous vote on an Arab draft resolution concerning combating terrorism in Libya.
Shoukry also met with Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya Bernardino Leon to discuss the latest developments in Libya and means to resolve its current crisis.
Meanwhile, Shoukry met with his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh to tackle ongoing Libyan and Yemeni developments, the Syrian crisis as well as the spread of terrorism and a proposal to form a joint Arab force.
The minister also met with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra. They agreed to coordinate efforts to face the current challenges.
