
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry mourned the death of prosecutor general counselor Hesham Barakat who died in a terrorist attack that targeted his motorcade in Heliopolis Monday morning.
In a statement, the minister said such incidents will not shake the will of the Egyptian people who back their leadership's efforts to root out terrorism.
He renewed calls for the international community to work shoulder-to-shoulder to face terrorism and confront the the ideologies of the terrorist groups.
Minister Shoukry offered condolences to the families and the Egyptian people over Barakat's death.
